Morning sickness... hereditary?

I apologize if this has already been brought up.. but in your experience, do you think morning sickness is hereditary? 

My mom said she didn't have it with me or my brother (but did have horrible heartburn from day 1).  Other than feeling a little nauseous in the morning, I haven't felt too bad.  But I realize it's still early...  

Just curious to hear what others think about this!

Cycle 13: Natural cycle w/ HSG test = BFP

Lost my angel boys at 10.5 weeks

    My Mom said she never had m/s with any of the four of us kids.  This is my third pregnancy and although I feel nauseated all day, it's tolerable!  Nothing too extreme!  So, maybe you're on to something!

    It's not true in my experience, or my family.  I have it. I haven't thrown up yet, but I'm queasy pretty bad.. and it's daily, and it's almost all day.  My mom was never sick.

    I have no idea if it is an OWL or not. My mother didn't have any M/S with any of us. My sister didn't have M/S either. My other sister and I both did. Both of us got it more at night and throughout the whole pregnancy but worse in the beginning. But this

    Im pretty sure it isnt because i had horrible m/s with my DD and i have only puked once this time...
       EDD for #2 is December 8th, 2013, so excited for our 2nd team green baby!

    My mom never threw up with any of her pregnancies & neither did my 2 sisters. So far I am following the same. This is my 3rd pregnancy and this one has been the worst as far as nausea but I haven't thrown up and I didn't with my other pregnancies eith

    My mom did not have severe MS she had some nausea, sucking on peppermint helped her. My first pregnancy I had none, my second I had a little nausea while BF, this one is the most nausous I've been, it comes and goes, mostly in the evening.

    My mom threw up for 3 months straight and lost 10 lbs when she was pregnant with my brother. When she was pregnant with me she was just really nauseous for the first Tri.

    My Mother told me she was very ill with nausea/throwing up with her pregnancy with my brother and me.  I have had very little nausea/no throwing up during my pregnancy.  I was pregnant once before and had a miscarriage at 11 weeks, I wasn't that
