So at my doc appt. the doctor said tht since I was almost 14 weeks and probably wouldn't be able to get the nt scan in time it would be ok cause she can do a blood test at 16 weeks. There was so much going on at the time tht it slipped my mind to ask her what the test was called. Do u guys think this is the maternit21 test? Or is there another blood test that they do tht tests for downs? Thnx in advance for any answers ladies

I think she's probably talking about the quad screen, which looks at risk of trisomies as well as markers for spina bidida, and something else that I'm blanking on just now. Mine is at 16 weeks. If its Mat21 I don't think there would be a reason to wait

It's the quad screen! I have mine scheduled at my 16 week appointment.

yes, it's the quad screen. not nearly as exciting as Materniti, you don't find out the gender and all you get is a risk ratio.
