Sensitive Gums/Mouth

Hi Girls,

Last week we found out that we're expecting our first little one in December and we couldn't be more excited! I know that everyone has different symptoms, but I didn't know if anyone on here has had sensitive gums before. I know it can be a symptom so I'm not worried about it from that standpoint, I just figured I'd see if anyone has any suggestions.

No matter what I do it just seems that a certain part is more sensitive right now. I even started doing a warm water rinse with salt. I have my first Dr's appointment on Thursday so I figured I can ask about it then. Open to suggestions if anyone has them! Thanks in advance!

Re: Sensitive Gums/Mouth

  • My first pregnancy I had sensitive gums, call your dentist and they can give you some advice.  I'm having incredibly dry skin/chapped lips this time around.

  • Thanks! I take pretty good care of mine as well with all the brushing and flossing, but I guess I'll give him a call and see what he suggests.

  • Tender gums are very common drug pregnancy, your hormones cause your body to react much diffferently to local irratants plaque and if you do not keep proper homecare it can exaggerate gingivitis, so flossing and brushing properly!! Also some women can hav
