Medicated cycles

Hi! I'm starting my first medicated cycle this month. My insurance doesnt cover any fertility stuff so i wanted to do one medicated cycle, one unmedicated and so on. Instead of doing the 4 medicated cycles with follistim and hcg in a row that my RE sugested, i could do eight months this way. I'm 29 so i'm not in a super hurry. I think there would be no problem with that but i wanted to hear your opinions! Cant get a hold of my RE for the next few days... Thanks!!!!

Have you had all your testing completed prior to starting medicated cycles? If so, do you have a dx?  I guess I would suggest doing what you are comfortable with, there are many of us that are OOP and know how you feel.  Good luck!

I dont think there should be a problem with it unless something medically has you needed to move faster...ya know?

I pay OOP as well and can understand how expensive it gets. My IUI cycles are $5000 a pop...here is hoping for a BFP for both of

Have you totaled how much you would spend in the 8 months?   It might be better to do IVF if you can afford it, higher success rates. What are you diagnosed with ?

Hi, i had an ectopic, i have one semi permeable fallopian tube due to PIDs, and cysts in my ovaries that lead to annovulatory cycles. i still get my periods on time though.
The general plan is to do 4 medicated cycles with fsh and hcg only bedding
