AW: First OB visit went well!

Well today I saw my OB for the first time. She was very happy with everything so far. She said the baby looks good, the placement is nice and high in my ute, and on track to be our THB. She seemed so genuinely happy to see me and to know I was already past our loss milestone.

She was only a little concerned with my white blood cell count which was a bit high, but she said I probably just have a virus. Perhaps all this nausea and stomach aches has just been a bug and not MS? Who knows! I will hav another blood draw at my next appointment on May 20th, so hopefully that count goes down to normal.

She asked if we wanted to do the NT scan and I said yes. I was concerned about the possibility of an amnio incase we had bad results, but she recommended a blood test instead of the amnio since my prior losses put me at a greater risk of a m/c from an amnio. I will call to schedule my NT scan tomorrow... This is so surreal.

She also said that DH and I should feel free to tell the world after 10w. Not sure why she felt 10w was such a safe zone, but it was nice to hear. I still plan on waiting at least until after the 12w scan before I tell friends and extended family.

I am just so very happy and am feeling more and more connected to my baby every day.
