Hi All,

I'm a regular on TTC>35 and the Infertility boards and need some help.

I'm doing IVF#1 and just got my fert report.  Of 9 eggs retrieved, 8 were mature but only 2 fertilized.  I'm totally devastated right now and in shock.  I know "it only takes 1" and I dish that advice out all the time, but I'm feeling very pessimistic right now and need some reinforcement from success stories.

Any of you have only 1-2 fertilized with success?   

Me: 37 DH: 37 TTC since Jan 2012. RE consult and initial testing done in Aug 2012: SA fine, AMH 1.1 & HSG clear - on way to IUI but got BFP on 9/10/2012. m/c 10/3/2012 at 6w5d. BFP next cycle which was a c/p. IUI #1: Clomid 100mg 12/6= BFN. IUI#2 (unmedicated) Jan 2013 = BFN. Hysteroscopy 1/25/13. IUI#3 Clomid 100mg 2/23 = BFN IUI# 4: BFN. IVF #1 April 2013, BFP!  EDD 1/12/14 with Boy!

    Is it too late to do rescue ICSI? Definitely ask for ICSI next time (hopefully there won't be a next time because this time will work though!)

    I hope your little embabies keep growing!

    I'd ask your RE about a 3-day transfer given the low n

    Sorry I should have mentioned that we are definitely doing a 3 day transfer.

    I had 12 eggs retrieved and after fertilization and PGD testing, only had 2 left to transfer. I transfered both and I'm pregnant with a singleton! It's def possible for this to work for you! I did end up having to freeze then eggs and do a FET the next

    it's really quality over quantity.  With my first only 3 fertilized, and i did get pregnant-- but it turned ectopic.   This second one I had only 3 great ones (out of 9 retrieved) and am now 13 weeks pregnant.

    Hi Lenox!  I think you know my story, but my last IVF I only had 3 fertilized.  1 stopped dividing.  So we did a 3dt of my only 2 embryos and they both took.  I'm scheduled for delivery of my twins next week!  I know it's hard to

    Two weeks of beta hell = Blighted Ovum
    IVF#2 Aug/Sept: ER 8/27: 4R,3M,3F
    ET 8/30 (1-8A+, 1-6A+)
    Beta#1 9/10: 350; Beta#2 9/12: 796; Beta#3 9/20: 9155
    Expecting Boy/Girl Twins! My babies were born 4/23/13 at 36w1d!

    I mainly lurk and don't post much but my situation was very similar. I Had 9 eggs at retrieval and 8 were mature. We did ICSI on half of my eggs and tried natural fertilization with the rest. None of the eggs fertilized naturally and 3 or the 4 with IC

    For my first IVF, I had 16 eggs retrieved but only 4 fertilized (most weren't mature).  We transferred 2 on day 3 and they both stuck.  DDs are now 4.  Around the same time, there was someone on the board that only had 1 embryo from her IVF
    2004-Started TTC; Nov 2007-Lap with endo removed; Jan 2008-Ectopic (mtx); April 2008-IVF #1 (bfp, twin girls); March 2011-FET (cp); June 2012-IVF #2 (bfp, singleton, EDD 3-19-12)
