Hey Ladies!

 I have been lurking for a LONG time on all of the boards and now it's time to introduce myself.  I am 25 years old and my DH and I have been TTC since July of 2011.  I was on Depo Provera for almost 8 years before we got married in 2010.  Since my last shot I have had trouble getting a "normal" cycle.  We knew we wanted to wait at least a year before trying so I got on pills to help my body get back on a schedule.  I was able to get a withdrawal period at the end of each pack so I figured all was well.  In July of 2011 I stopped taking BCP and we began our journey on our own.  Unfortunately, my body didn't really know what to do on it's own so I started getting spotting and/or bleeding every two weeks!  I let that go on for a while figuring that it was just a phase.  In March of 2012 I brought up concerns with my Dr. and she suggested that I go on the Nuvaring for 3 months and then see what happens.  I did this, and after 3 months my body bled and then I would go months without a period.  I had been charting this whole time and maybe one time I had a temp rise with a period 14 days later, but other than that there was NO consistency with my cycles.  I brought my concerns to my Dr. in Oct of 2012 and she suggested that I wait until January of 2013 and start using OPKs for a while and then we'll chat.  Since January I have not had a period so I went to my Dr for my yearly check up and she put me on Provera to try to jump start my period that way.  I took the pills for 10 days..then waited 7 and nothing happened.  So, my Dr. put me on BC pills for 1 month so that I get a "bleed" so I can do all of the blood tests and start Letrozole while being monitored.  It's really been tough on my body and my marriage with all of this, but I'm hoping that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Anyways, thanks for reading my story and for all of your knowledge and support!  I hope that I can provide the same for you as well!

Welcome! Have you seen an RE?  It sounds like that might be a good next step for you.  General practitioners don't have the expertise in infertility to be much help. It could actually be dangerous, for example if she put you in clomid without mo

We have a similar story. Depo for roughly 5 years, BCP for a couple more. Got married, quit the pill and bled every 5 days. I was dx annovulatory and treatments went from there. Welcome and good luck to you.
