I Just got my used pocket diapers in the mail today... Is it okay to bleach the inserts, then do a second regular wash? Obviously you can't bleach the diaper itself. Thanks everyone for all the help! I don't feel like I'm going in so blindly now. Oh, and I've also heard mixed things- is Burt's diaper cream okay in cloth, or no? Isn't it funny how this is how we diapered for hundreds of years and now all of a sudden it's such a foreign process?
P.S. Haha! I accidentally posted this on my birth month board. I bet they're all scratching their heads!
Re: OK to bleach?
It's perfectly fine to throw a 1/4 cup of bleach in the load with both the pockets and the inserts, it won't damage the colour or anything like that.
As for the Burt's Bee's I would add a liner.

My diapers came with some info and it recommended using a 1/4 cup of bleach once a month. I have had no issues with my covers losing color either. I do, however, let plenty of water run first, before I throw my diapers in, just in case
