My last pregnancy I ended up getting preeclampsia. This time around my Dr. suggested I take aspirin once a day to help prevent it since I am at a higher risk. He says this is something new that has been discovered in preventing it. I am someone who is holistic in my health. I eat organic foods, I don't take pills, very rarely for even a head ache, I go to a chiropractor which helps not only your spine etc but your immune system as. I look on the back of the box of aspirin and it has information about not taking this while pregnant, that it could lead to complications in the pregnancy. At any case, I plan on speaking with my Dr. again about this as he does not want me starting this until I am in my third month. I will of course take the aspirin to prevent being induced again but it bothers me as I don't even have caffeine in my diet while pregnant. Have any of you been told to do this during your pregnancy or what are your thoughts? He says he would stop me at 36 weeks taking it to prevent excess bleeding while delivering.
