Ammonia burn?

I just took a diaper off DS and his bum looks horrible! We've been battling eczema on his thighs, but now half of his butt cheek is all red and his belly where the diaper rubs has tiny red dots. It looks like a combination of sunburn and razor burn and the sunburnt part feels warm to the touch. Is this ammonia burn? He was only in his diaper for an hour and a half. It smells very faintly of ammonia, but I only noticed because I put my nose up to it. It's an Itti Bitti D'lish. Could he be allergic to the materials it's made of? WDYT?

When I had this issue it was was my daughter's overnight diaper.

She was bright red on her bum and front. And she had some nasty blisters in a few spots. I didn't have any red spots, but then she was beet red all over.

How does his poop look? whenever DS has a really acidic, green poop, he immediately breaks out in a horrible rash like the "sunburnt" rash you are describing ...
