Changing OB

When is it too late to switch your OB and the hospital where you want to deliver? I still want to tour a couple places but they don't have anything avail for another 3 weeks and I'll be 9 weeks along at that point.

  • I don't think it's ever too late. Right now I'm going to an OB practice but I'm thinking of switching to a midwife and birthing center... still have some research to do though. I'm 7 weeks now and I can't think of any reason it would be impossible to chan
  • Ah ok. I asked a lady at one hospital what the difference between have a doc or midwife deliver. She asked me what preference I had. I couldn't tell her cause I have no idea!

  • A friend of mine switched at 32 weeks. The OB cautiously took her, but honestly, you can do it whenever as long as you find an OB who is cool with it. 9 weeks is a drop in the bucket compared to her!
