LO will not stay on her back

My dd loves to roll on her side.  She actually has been doing it since she was a few days old.  Her Pedi was shocked that she was able to do it so early.  I try to make her sleep on her back but she will not have it.  I have to swaddle her because she is always waking herself up.  I know that back is best and that the side is ok but I want her on her back.  I tried rolled up receiving blankets (only up to her waist) but that doesn't work.  she rolls on her side and ends up next to the wall of the bassinet which makes me nervous.  She hasn't made it over to her stomach yet but im also worried she will roll all the way over and won't be able to breath or move back over cause she is swaddled.

what should I do? should I just put her on her side with a blanket on one side like in the hospital? She doesn't seem to move when she is put on her side.

  • My baby did that too. She sleeps in her rock n play though and I've never seen her do it in there. Maybe she still can, but she never has at least

  • DS did this too. It was so hard for me to get any sleep. We coslept so I could keep an eye on him. But, the rock n play worked really well when we finally got one. You might want to try that.

  • My daughter does the same thing!  I asked the pediatrician about it, and she said to just make sure she is not always rolling in one direction (like always going to his/her right hand side), as this can be bad for their skulls.  She wasn't ov
