we went to the dr. and it was a migraine that i was having (good call nova). i got a prescription for a suppository that will (hopefully) help me stop throwing up long enough to get some fluids into me.
Make sure that when you put the next one in, that you put it in with the tip pointing away from your butt.... I know it sounds backwards but once you get it in there, it will suck it right up. This was told to us by a colon/rectal specialist.

Pardon my french, but when i read this, I thought, "Huh, no shit." and it was just too pun-ny to leave out.
Ha! Glad you're feeling better & got some food in your stomach.
Actually, sometime you do need to specifiy where suppositories go. When my cousin was little (maybe 8) he got a bad stomach bug at summer camp so the camp nurse gave him a suppository to take. The next day my aunt called & asked if he was feeling better & he said "yeah, but that pill was really hard to swallow."

in.my.butt.
I have soooo been there! When I was about 30 weeks, I got a nasty stomach bug and couldn't stop throwing up all night. The after hours nurse called in a prescription for something to help and, yep, it was a suppository. Gross? A bit. A god-send? No doubt! At that point I just wanted the throwing up to stop.
Ugh! Migraines are the worst! So sorry you had to go through that But that's good news you are able to keep some food down. Hope you continue to feel better!

Yuck. I'm sorry. FWIW, my dad has used those before when he was really sick with cancer, and he says they work.
Honestly, when I saw your subject line, my first thought was, "oh man, that first trimester constipation is THE WORST." Yeah, I had it baaaaddd.
I hope you feel better soon.
