Waffle/pancake sticks

Any tricks for making these without a waffle maker? We are doing blw [sort of. DS refuses pures but will eat solids but we are not giving him full items to feed himself] I would like go start making him some more finger friendly foods but I'm not sure of the best way. I'd love a pan that I can use for meatloaf sticks or quiche sticks too.

You know what might work for the meatloaf or quiche idea?  We have a silicone ice cube tray that is shaped for little cylinders you would put down the middle of a water bottle. 

I have no idea how to make waffles without a waffle iro
