My 2nd night sleep training

My 2nd night was soo much better!  here's how it went:

8:00pm-put him to bed awake

8:20pm- fell asleep on his own after me going in once to pat him on the belly for 2 minutes

12:30am- woke up crying, calmed himself after 8 minutes of fussing

4:00am- woke up fussing, calmed himself after 6 minutes of fussing

6:00am- woke up, nursed him, he fell back to sleep on his own w/o fussing

8:45am- woke up for the day

I am soooooo happy it's working so far!  Now if only I could learn to sttn without waking up at every little noise :)  GL to everyone else who's sleep training

  • I'm glad it's working for you. I would like to eventually give it a try if things do not get better with LO. He's 19 weeks.
If you don't mind sharing, how old is your LO and when is an ideal age to start? Also, is it ok to feed them at night while

    That's great!

When he woke and cried/fussed, did you have to go in to shush/pat at all or you just waited it out?

Thanks. I now need to work on MOTN. He used to sleep straight through but for the past 3 weeks, he wakes around midnight and again at 5:30 am. His last feed is between 6:30-7 pm.
