My doctor called last night with the results of my 1st trimester blood work and said my TSH was 8.7 and I need to start on Synthroid ASAP.
I'm 7 weeks today and I am just concerned because the baby has been developing for 5 weeks and might not have been getting the thyroid hormones it needs since it can't make it's own yet.
Am I being paranoid?
Started the medication this morning.

I am taking the synthroid. I don't have issues taking medication for this, as I understand that being hypothyroid during pregnancy causes far greater risk to the baby.
My T4 wasn't low...it was just the TSH that was high.
