Family holiday card attire?

OK, Jenna's got a super cute Christmas dress... now what do DH & I wear? (I'm a big fan of family holiday cards... it gives me an excuse to get in the picture!)

I wore a red blouse and DH wore a black polo, and it looked awesome against the black backdrop at the portrait studio. If Jenna's dress is red, I say go with red and black.

Whatever Jenna's dress color is, go with variations of that. If it's green, go with green, or red. If it's dark blue, go with a lighter blue, or navy blue as well. GL!

We all wore black, red and gray last year.  This year, we're all wearing shades of tan/brown and blue.

What does her dress look like?  Pull colors from her outfit to compliment her to either tie to all together or make her the star of the show with you & DH as the background.

Like if she's got a white/blue/green plaid skirt - you and DH each wear a blue or green.  If you want to be the background, then I'd have both of you in a cream.

We do a family photo at Christmas every year and I always purchase Emily's dress first and then, match DH's and My outfits to hers.  Here are two pics from last year (you can see the entire album at Emily's Babysite in the Profession Photographs: 15 Months album:

This year, I'm hoping to find Emily a black & white dress or even a red dress so that the three of us can wear red, black and white.  

I think anything you guys wear will look GREAT but most photographers will encourage you not to wear super bright colors and really "busy" patterns.  Good luck and happy shopping!!!

lol, I don't have much time to plan as my Dad will be taking pics this weekend! BUT I love all of your ideas, I'll be digging through our closets tonight!
