When to send invites?

My mom is throwing me a shower and asked me today when she should send them out. The shower is May 18th-it is a busy time of the year with graduations and other spring activities so I said around 4 weeks ahead-is that too soon?

I think 4 to 6 weeks is good timing!

I think 3 to 4 weeks is normal for showers, but  4 weeks for a busy time of year doesn't seem to early to me at all.
