Serious thumb sucking

DD is now 5 months 2 weeks.... (I know I need to update the ticker!)  and she has become quite the thumb sucker.  I know she has no idea what she is doing and that we are a long way away from this having a physical impact so I shouldnt be too concerned.

However.... I still can't help it.  I am worried about it.  She does use it to self soothe but it's beyond that.  She pretty much sucks on it most of her waking hours.  I try to distract her with a toy, Sophie, myself and it only lasts for a few seconds before it goes right back.  Am I alone on this?

I know I should probably let it go but I am still a bit worried.   I have lots of people around me that did it for many many years and had issues later on so I guess I am just sensitive to it.
