Baby Bjorn was recently handed down to me, I've tried it around the house a couple of times, she seems to LOVE it (I faced her out). I just read a post on parenting that the Bjorn isn't all that good for baby's hips/legs, and can be hard on mom's back. I did notice my lower back start to ache and each time I only had her in it for maybe 30 minutes.
Do (m)any of you use the Bjorn? How big is your kid? Kate's definately every bit of 18 lbs, so I'm wondering if that's the cause for my back ache, is she too big for the Bjorn?
Also- what other carriers are you guys using that you like/doesn't hurt your back/doesn't have the warning of hip/leg issues for baby?

If you are in LOVE with the Bjorn (I loathe it) - there is a model that has a waist strap and I've heard better things about it - still a "crotch dangler" but its an outward facing option - which most outward facers are "not recommended" for various re
I LOVE my Beco Gemini. My son is 18 pounds and I can wear him comfortably for hours. It does have the option to face out, which I will only do to run in and out of store and for a short time as it's "not recommended" for extended periods&nb
