I'm freaking out because I've been on my period for 3 weeks now. It was getting lighter, tapering off, and I thought it was over for about a day, but then it came roaring back with a heavy, clotty vengeance yesterday....much heavier than normal.
I know I don't technically belong on this board because I am not TTC at the moment, but I know you ladies are more knowledgeable about the reproductive system than anyone else I know....IRL or on this site.
All of my Dr. Google searches say I need to call a doc because it lasted longer than 7 days (just 7 seems a little paranoid) but at this point, I know I should...I just ddon't know what to expect. The thought of an endometrial biopsy freaks me out.....
Does anyone know what I should expect?
Re: Incredibly long period....just got really heavy. Freaking the hell out.
Normally all they'd do on the first visit is a vaginal ultrasound and blood work which does not hurt. Anything else they will schedule for a few days or weeks out. You can ask for a valium if you are very nervous if you need further procedu
