Starving all the time & worried I'm going to gain too much weight

Is anyone else starving all the time? I am 14+ weeks pregnant, and just stay hungry. I've always had a healthy appetite, but its gotten even healthier. I haven't had any sickness so it's not like I've just started being able to eat again. I do exercise a lot, but just don't want to "get in trouble" with my midwife for gaining too much weight. My mom was thin, and very active, and still gained over 50 pounds with me. Do any of you ladies have any foods that seem to keep you full for a good while? Also, for any of you not-first-time moms - how much should I pay attention to not gaining more than the recommended 35 pounds? Thanks!

  • I could have written this post! However, I do have nausea but I eat a ton of small meals bc it's the only way I feel ok. I'm going to the dr on Tuesday and I'm a bit nervous that I'm going to get in trouble for the weight gain. I mostly eat healthy but

  • Protein is key for me.  Veggies too.  I do much better when I buy lots of veggies and prep them for the week.  Just today, I bought celery, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli...chopped it up and put into baggies.  Grab and go, no excuse

  • I'm a FTM and won't comment on the weight gain part of it! Although the doctors nurse told me they don't yell at you for gaining weight unless its really bad! But I've stopped being nauseous last few days and hungry all the time! Lots of protein and multi

  • I have hypoglycemia, so I am used to feeling hungry all the time anyway, but since getting pg it has been ridiculous. I really don't stay full unless I have a 'full' meal about 4 times a day. Now, it doesn't have to be as big of a meal as what I would

  • I go through spurts of being ravenously hungry with days that I could eat nothing at all (not that I do)...

I'm lucky in the fact that I have an aversion to junk food and have been drawn to fresh fruits.  Anytime I'm hungry and it's not "mea

  • Go for whole foods, high protein, lots of fiber, salt your food to taste (don't restrict), drink a lot of water.  Snack on string cheese with an apple, greek yogurt, strawberries and raw almonds, that sort of thing.  Avoid ice cream, potato c

  • I'm just getting over morning sickness and hospital visits, so my stomach is all FEEEEED MEEEEE 24/7. I snack non stop all day. If I so much as go half an hour without a spec of food, I get wicked nauseous. I give in to cravings the majority of the time.
  • Try greek yogurt. It has a ton of protien much more than regular yogurt. Hard boiled eggs are also good. I also like to make oatmeal with raisins.
  • Try greek yogurt & fruit smoothies! The extra protein in the Greek yogurt plus the fiber in the fruit really helps keep you full.

  • I stay hungry reguardless of what I eat. I just keep lots of fresh fruit, granola, greek yogurt, and other healthier snack around so I don't feel as guilty about eating so much. So far i've only gained back what I lost earlier from m/s but now I guess I'l
