I get confused about that too. I decided to say I'm 3 months at the end of 12 weeks, 4 months once I am 16 weeks, etc.

Like you don't turn 4 till your birthday even though you are in your 4 year of life.

I work backwards from when I'm due. Due in the beginning of October (10th month of the year). It is now the beginning of April (4th month of the year). So there's six months left til October and nine months of pregnancy. 9-6=3 months pregnant.
