Needing an evening babysitter

We have a daycare provider for during the day while we are at work but we would love to to be able to go out and have a date night once in a while and don't have anyone to watch LO. We don't have family or friends in the area who would be able to watch her. Is anyone else in this situation?

    I do have family near by but they aren't always available. Turns out DDs daycare teachers all do outside babysitting and although pricey I know she is in great hands so we have had her teacher come watch her twice so far.

    Im inthe same boat :( we are new to our town and still dont know anyone. my in laws are an hour away so its tough to ask them to watch dd for a few hours when we or they have to travel 2hours total... the 1 girl in daycare my dd really likes lives far too

    We are in this exact situation. I don't know if your daycare has more than one provider but we've thought about asking one of the girls from ours babysit.

    I would check out care.com .  I used to babysit for a few families on their before having kids.  You can even do background checks!

    You could also ask for recommendations from other dayare parents. Ask around and see if anyone has had good luck with a particular sitter.

    You could also trade with other parents. They babysit for your date night and you babysit for theirs. </

    We are in the military and do not live near any family.  We have 2 wonderful sitters we found on Sittercity.com.  They are amazing and have become like family over the past year.  We go on date nights almost every week.  <

    Do you have a community college nearby? If you do you can always contact their education department and ask if you can put up a flyer. Or you can call your local votech school if they have education/childcare and get one of those kids. They are usually gr
