1st Trimester

Amusement park rides..

I know I'm going to check with my OB but what's the scoop on amusement rides. I know you shouldn't ride with a belly. The time frame of when id go would be 11 weeks... What has your obs told you? Thanks mommas

  • OB's said nope. Midwives said err on the side of caution. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

  • If I were you I would sit out....a 3 minute ride is not worth the worry/guilt of harming your baby!

  • Absolutely not. You do not need any bouncing, jerking, pounding, etc at this time. Better safe than sorry!

  • I was in Orlando in December with my husband and in-laws and about 5 months pregnant. We were going to go to Universal Studios, but when I looked online, I saw that pregnant women couldn't ride almost all of the rides... even the ones that didn't seem

  • Thanks. I've never paid attention to the ride precautions because I've never had a reason too.

  • My friend just wnt to Disneyland and ride some rides at 5 moths
  • Really depends on what ride I would think. "It's a small world" and slow rides won't do anything but anything that bounces you or moves your body erratically should definitely be avoided. No roller coasters or tea cups for you missy.

  • Disney Land has a number of rides that are safe for pregnant people (I was just there last week).  On the park map that they give you, they actually mark rides that pregnant people shouldn't go on with a big red triangle, so if you're going there,

  • I had a great time at Sea World when I was about 6 months pg the first time and I know I went on Its s small world in the magic kingdom, there are some rides that are more like attractions that are ok, I remember finding a list online before I went! And t
  • I wouldnt. Im not sure if the sign's at amusement parks have a time on it to where its safe to ride at 6 weeks or not. I just dont think its a good idea plus you would still be 1st trimester and thats a crucial period.
  • When I was pregnant with my son, I was jogging and doing martial arts up until labour with doctor's approval, so I'm not convinced it's the bouncing that's harmful.

But...I probably still wouldn't ride an upside down or massive roller coaster. Do
