I got accepted into the New Hope Fertility Clinical Trial for ivf or mini ivf!!!!!! I mentioned before that they cover everything but meds if done at their clinic. I am choosing to do local monitoring so I will pay my copay each time. The study gives me up to 6 IVF or Mini cycles or until a give birth to a baby. I go back on the 19th and choose an envelope with either conventional or miniivf written on it! I am so excited!
If we choose mini, then I start the with bcp on the 19th and then start minimal meds after my cycle starts in the beginning of May. If all goes as planned, then they retrieve my eggs in May and I do a FET in June. They do FET to get the meds out of my system and have my body go back into it's natural state before transferring the egg. They will transfer 1 day 5 blast and freeze the rest.
If I pull conventional and all goes as planned, they they retrieve and transfer in May! They will transfer 2 day 5 blasts and freeze the rest.
The only problem has become my chicken pox immunity. I showed not immune to chicken pox...despite having had one mild and one severe case during childhood. I got the vaccine today and the clinic will retest immunity in May. If I am still not immune then I have to have part two of the vaccine. Then retest in June. If by then I am still not immune then I am part of the few that will not develop immunity. The dr says I can proceed with the timeline but they will not transfer eggs until I test immune or try two vaccinations. I hope it only takes one round!
