Teething questions...

To those of you who already have some teeth, or STM's who have been through this, I have some questions. We 99% sure LO is teething. He has had all of the classic symptoms that really started showing over the weekend. Just yesterday he got a fever. I know there is some disagreement among doctors as to whether teething causes fevers, but it seems to be common for many. Anyway, I guess my question is, if your child got a low grade fever from teething, how long after the fever starts before you saw teeth?? I don't think I feel any "buds" in there, but he seems quite uncomfortable, so I am curious how long this goes on before teeth arrive. Any input from those with experience with this would be greatly appreciated!

My LO started teething at about 3 months. Classic symptoms---drool, hands in mouth, general fussing. He never had a fever. He cut his first tooth just over 4 months and his second tooth a week later.
