Climbing out of crib at almost 17 months??? Help?

So LO will be 17 months in 2 days and she is climbing out of her crib!!! Part of me feels like its too early to put her in a toddler bed, but don't want her to get hurt climbing out either!!?? What did you do??? Is it too soon?? I keep reading that they shouldn't be switched until 3??? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

The only guidance on when a child should be switched is to do it when they're ready and risk hurting themselves.  It happens earlier for some and later for others!

Thanks so much ladies!!! We moved LO to a toddler bed last night and it went beter than we thought!!! I felt so much better when i saw how excited she got about the "big girl" bed!!!
