Endometriosis Diagnosing Questions

Ladies who have been Dx with Endometriosis... How did determine to have a laparoscopy done? I have all of the symptoms of Endo but my Dr. suggests doing another round of IUI (#5) and then moving to IVF if it is unsuccesful. She said that even if you do a Lap and have Endo removed, it doesn't increase your chances much and if anything just delays another round of trying.

I guess my questions are:

How/what stage did you determine to have a Lap done?

Does removing Endo increase your chances with IUI? IVF?

If found, can the Endo be removed during the initial Lap?

If you were me, would you have a Lap done before doing another IUI?

Married since 2005. TTC since August 2011. Dx: Unexplained. Bloodwork, HSG, and DH testing all good. 4 unsuccesful rounds of Clomid. 4 unsuccesful rounds of Follistim + IUI.

May 2013: Laparoscopy completed. Stage 3 endometriosis removed.
August & Sept 2013: Follistim + IUI #5 & #6

November 2013: IVF, transferred 1= 1st ever BFP! EDD 8/10/2014

    I would have a lap done if Dr agrees to it. I plan to have it done prior to IVF, I haven't been diagnosed with endo but feel like I have symptoms and found Dr that will do it. I've read that removing the endo can help conceive, without IUI even, depend

    Me: 32, DH: 34.
    Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
    Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).

    Off BCP August 2010, NFP to avoid. Start TTC May 2011. TTA December 2011 - May 2012 doctor's orders :( TTC July 2012-January 2013. Currently pursuing Napro Technology. January 2013: Napro nurse is starting me on Vitex 3 DPO and Naproxen 8 DPO until my first appointment with the doctor. Based on my charts, they highly suspect endometriosis. image

    I'm in a similar boat!  I haven't done IUI yet, though...but my HSG showed some blockage and caused me so much pain that the doctor said I could consider a lap to see if I had endometriosis. At the same time, she said I could also try IUI a few t



    Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
    Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545  -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!

    I actually saw my dr for diagnosis of PCOS when he became suspicious of Endo.  My ultrasound showed signs of it and I have a strong family history for it so we decided to move forward with the lap. 

     I was diagnosed with stage 3

    Me 32 :: DH 41

     TTC since November, 2011

    DH's SA : Excellent

    Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

    DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

    Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

    3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

    September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

    40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

    February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

     Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

    1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

    2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

    Baby girl arrived on Thanksgiving day weighing 7lbs 6oz and measuring 20 inches
