Refresh my memory please... what happens at the first (8 week) appointment, typically?

blood/urine test and vaginal ultrasound thingy. Get to hear the heartbeat. That's all I remember from my first 5 years ago!

At mine (over 3 years ago, mind you) they did a pap, made sure my uterus was the right size for 8 weeks along and then sent me for B/W.  My MW doesn't do U/S unless there is a potential issue.
