I have had the mirena in for about 3 years. This entire time (after the initial month or so of hormone adjustment) i have had a perfectly regular, like clockwork 28 day cycle. usually with a touch of spotting the day before AF comes. today I realized i was supposed to start yesterday. i never even spotted. still nothing. last week i took an hpt i had sitting in my drawer because i had been having some serious food aversion. I thought it came up negative even tho there was the faintest of lines. i thought it was an evap line. but i have since learned that evap lines do not show up after only 3 minutes.. it was a first response test. I'm not asking for anyone to say "ermagerd ur preggers!!" i know only another hpt will tell me that for sure. I guess i just needed to vent because ill admit im a little freaked out right now! i know its very unlikely to get KU with the Mirena, but its just a little disconcerting to be late. i havnt even gotten cramps! ugh.

    Instead of freaking you should take another test because if you are, you need to get the mirena out right away.

    is it normal for my cycle to just change like that tho? I mean for 3 years while on the mirena i have consistently had a regular 28 day cycle. i know mirena can do weird things to your cycle (including stopping it all together) but would it really ju

    How about instead of debating if its too soon to take another test you just take one? As Mags said, if you are pregnant it's important to get the Mirena out ASAP and be seen by your Dr to ensure its not an ectopic pregnancy that could threaten your life.

    The mirena is infamous for making things irregular and crazy. Take another test, but if you're really worried (you know your body!) make an appointment NOW and go see your doc. I have a mirena and my cycle is crazy.
