i feel like a broken record! i've come to this board for help before, so hopefully you can all help again!
DD will be 9 months next week and weighs somewhere around 20ish pounds. She has never STTN, and only a handful of times have woken up once (last week she did that 3 nights in a row...it was amazing!). Last night she woke 4x and i have instilled the habit of having to nurse her back to sleep. She goes down at night awake, and is able to fall asleep.
I have done sleep training in the past, and have gotten down to a 2-3am feeding. But slowly that feeding time keeps moving up until she is waking at 12 and 4, and then 10, 12, 4, etc. Simply said, I am done. I am beyond exhausted and I have to get up at 5:30 everyday and work 40 hours a week.
I'm not even sure where to start. I did Ferber with my first child, and it was fantastic! But I am not sure how to wean out all of these nursing sessions without confusing her. Should I go cold turkey and just let her CIO with checks until 6am and hope she picks up on it? Help! please ![]()
Re: sleep help...again and slighty desperate!
I tried a lot of different books/methods for helping my LO sleep. He had a hard time going to sleep on his own.
We're down to one MOTN feeding and he goes to sleep with minimal fussing at bedtime and for naps.
