Fish during pregnancy

Can it be really dangerous?! I had Talapia about 2 days ago, and then we had crab tonight with our Easter dinner ham, potatoes, crab, green beans, etc. We have our 13wk us this week and I always get super paranoid a few days before that something's wrong with baby!

The only ones to avoid are shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish, because they are high in mercury.nbsp;</div

  • I eat low mercury fish twice a week. Tilapia, salmon and shrimp are my go tos .
  • The only food that seems to satisfy this LO is FISH!!. I feel like a new woman when I eat fish; it's so weird and oh so different than my last pregnancy.  I had some haddock for lunch on Friday and baked Scallops on Saturday.  All this fish talk

  • As other have said try to avoid the larger fish because of the mercury content.  Shellfish is okay.  No more than 12oz a week.

  • I eat seafood just as much pregnant as not pregnant.  You just want to watch for eating high mercury items like Tuna and stuff.

Just remember, all things in moderation.  :)
