Trying to Get Pregnant

When to be concerned ...

Hello mammas,

My sister had PCOS and and incompetent cervix, so obviously we have struggled through her births and fought her challenges.  My questions and concerns are that I  am 26 and no diagnosis thus far.  I am afraid to make the appointment.  But hear me out, over two years of dating with no protection? We drink, and I smoke.  Even so, should I be worried?  No pregnancy so far. Is that normal? Or should I be concerned? Please, advise.

Re: When to be concerned ...

  • My sisterinlaw never used protection and never got pregnant until they actually did it at the right time. You only have a 20 chance every month. I'd start charting.

  • Well first hello.  Just because your sister had issues does not mean you will.  There is only about 20% chance of getting pregnant each month so if you never hit it right on you will not get pregnant.

  • Just wanted to clarify what a few PP said:  It's a 20% chance each month assuming you have good timing.
