All of you photographers out there, what kind of camera do you have and love? I'm going to save up for one for when the baby is born and there is so much to choose from.
I am not AT ALL a professional by any means but my husband and I saved up and each bought our own Canon Rebel T3's and we LOVE them. They're reasonably priced and have excellent reviews for a 'starter camera'. The lenses that are available are pretty fant
I have the Canon 60D. I have dropped that thing on concrete while getting out of a tall SUV. Only damage was a minor crack on the cheapo lens casing but the camera was fine! Lens still works too.
It looks like you made a decision, but I use a Nikon D80. I strongly prefer Nikon over Cannon, but mostly for the lenses. I think most casual photographers wouldn't care.
I tenth or eleventh the Canon Rebel. Great starter camera and well worth the cost. I think my T3 was 400 or 500 when I got it. Definitely worth it. Only suggestion is that if you're wanting close ups and not to be in the face of the person you're shootin
I have an Nikon D40. It has served me well over the years. I was tired of lugging around a DSLR so I just got a Panasonic Lumix ZS20 and it is wonderful! I have taken some great pics and videos, DSLR quality without the price.
