Hello IF board.
I normally stick on TTTC because I'm in IUI territory still, but I check in with the DOR check-in here so I thought I'd see if any of you ladies have ever experienced this.
I did a cycle of Puregon (Follistim) last month, with dismal results of only one lead follicle after 16 days of stimming... and got a BFN. So today I went in for my CD3 BW and US and the RE told me that my AFC this month was a grand total of 28! (16 in one side and 12 in the other). We were worried about cysts while the u/s tech was taking her time doing her measuring today as there were some ones that seemed a little odd/big on the screen, but she didn't write anything in the chart and the RE was thrilled with my surprised AFC. I have never had an AFC over 11, and have been as low as 6 in other cycles.
So what gives? I've never heard of such a jump before, and the only thing I can think of is that it was either related to the puregon or the progesterone I was on. Has anyone ever had this happen before? It almost feels like its too good to be true....
Re: Injects raised my AFC??? (DOR related)

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
That's a lot! The number definitely can vary month to month but that sounds like what a "normal" woman would have at your age. Any change of converting to IVF this cycle to take advantage?
Good luck!
