Intro and Clomid Questions

Hi y'all,

Unfortunately, I'm here from the Nov. '13 board.  After two ultrasounds a week apart, DH and I were told our baby was definitely a blighted ovum. I had my D&C yesterday. We had no miscarriage signs, was in my 8th week and my HCG was rising normally so we were [and are still] shocked. 

 DH and I have been married 4 years this spring and are in our late 20's.  We live in the south and recently bought an old home we have been renovating. I am an attorney and DH is self employed, but he travels often for his job. 

We are clearly still in the grieving process, but plan to TTC once AF arrives.  We had started trying at my first regular cycle, and were shocked to see a BFP that month as I have endo and PCOS.  I do not ovulate regularly [and hadnt in a couple months prior] and my OB/RE thinks this led to a bad quality egg.  She recommends Clomid and a double dose of folic acid. Anyone here have any experience with Clomid? I've read mixed reviews. Also, any advice during this post D&C wait?  

We are trying to keep it as a positive as possible and see it as a blessing to show we can get pregnant, but it's hard.  Also, MIL just shared that DH was conceived 3 months after a m/c and D&C, so I keep trying to remind myself there can be a light at the end of this.

I don't have any advice on the clomid but I wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss from a fellow Nov. 13'er. This is a wonderful place for support and I hope your stay here is short and sweet. Many hugs to you.

I haven't had any experience with Clomid, but as a fellow Nov. '13er, I wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  As for dealing with PCOS and using clomid - it's very common on the Trouble TTC board and IF board so if you want to hear a large sample of PCOS gals opinion you could XP over on those boards.
