Umbilical Cord Bleeding?

Is bleeding of the umbilical cord normal? My daughters has lightly bled when I used alcohol for the last 2 days. It seems completely dry in the front, still yellow at the base in the back. We have her 2 week appointment next thursday but I want to make sure this is normal and won't require a visit before then. Anyone else's LO have bleeding around the umbilical cord?

I just posted a question too. But my LO's looks like it wants to bleed. Like it has little pin drops of blood that just stays there. It's more like it just turned a little red. Not actually bleeding

This is totally normal.  My little guy had bleeding at the base and I brought it up at my last appointment.  His cord fell off shortly after.  The doctor told me to make sure air got to it.  So, I left his onesie unbuttoned.

I think it's fine, our LO's bled a little onto the inside of her onesie about 2 days before it fell off, but if you're concerned, it couldn't hurt to call and ask...I'm sure it's not the silliest question they've heard
