Positive hpt, negative hpt, still no period...

I feel like this is karma for all the times I've shook my head at the 'could I be pregnant?' posts! Period is two days late, had a positive hpt on weds morning but then I looked at the test and it expired in 2011 (which means I've probably had that thing since before I was pregnant with my now 4 year old? Why would I not throw that sh!t away? Lulz) this mornings new test was negative but the control window was blank until a few hours later. What is wrong with me, this would be my third kid and suddenly I've lost my ability to properly pee on a stick?!? Hoping for a positive test or just having my period tomorrow! Until then, I laugh at my own ridiculousness.
