Well, getting blood drawn is going to suck no matter what.
But how healthy is your DD overall? The reason I ask - when DS was diagnosed w/ celiac, he had lost a lot of weight and wasn't doing well. When we got the blood work done - it

My DS did surprisingly well with 2 year blood work as well as a scratch test at the allergist. I thought he would freak out but he was pretty good. He only started to cry while they drew blood after a few seconds because obviously taking blood for testing
DD had hers taken when she was a baby. It was a nightmare, they couldn't get enough. Had to come back when a pediatric girl was there to take it. See if you can get an appt with the pediatric phlebotomists.
my DS got diagnosed with a blood disorder (TEC) at his 2 year old check up and needed biweekly-weekly blood draws for a few months until his RBC counts stabilized. i had no shame in giving him a lolly pop during the blood draw,it helped distract him

DS dx with celiac disease 5/28/10
DS is healty overall but I have celiac disease and he's been having a lot of diarrhea lately so they want to rule it out.
I'm not looking forward to this.

We have to get routine blood work done for my daughter's food allergies. It definitely does suck.
The best is when both of us go--that way there is one to hold her and one to distract her.
Good luck!
DH can't get time off work til next week so I'll do it then.
Sorry all of your LOs have had to do this too.
