GTKY: what are a few things you said you'd "never" do

Thought it might be fun to look back at your plans, and how things panned out. What are some things that you said you'd never do, but find yourself doing now that baby is  here?

1. Formula feed

2. Allow LO a binkie

3. Sleep with baby in the bed

Hahahaha - I just had my 4th baby (11 weeks). My list would be so long it wouldn't fit on this page, but having 4 kids was definitely one of them. Before kids, I NEVER thought I would love being a mom as much as I do, and I never thought I would want to h

I was too naive before my first to even think about "always" and "never" plans. But now, on my third I realize "always and never" are things FTM's say because they don't have a clue. And judging somebody without "walking in their shoes" is even more ridicu

That's pretty much the only thing I said I didn't want to do and we've done both. I know it won't last forever though and it's how I've gotten sleep the last few nights. Oh well!

TV watching. I swore she wouldn't see a single screen til she was 2-she watches sportscenter every morning with DH and she loves it. I try to keep it off when I'm home. No kids TV though, and she only watches if its something we had recorded.

    1. Bed sharing...do it every night. I had no idea it would be so hard to get babies to sleep.

    2. Give a paci. It's hard to even force it on her.

Letting baby sleep in bed. I've heard of many people doing this and then not being able to get their children to sleep in their own bed later but now that I'm breast feeding its just so much easier.
