I think it's trendy in the sense that it follows the recent last-as-first trend.

However, I don't think it sounds trendy, isn't made up and has a nice historical connotation.

It fits in with the last name for first name trend. I really like Lincoln. I only know one and he is 16.

Apparently it's trendy! But I didn't realize that, I don't know a single one. Never met one.  I don't care for it, though- it sounds a bit harsh to me. Also, I went to Lincoln school as a kid.

It's very popular recently... seems to have had a sudden surge of use. So to me, that = trendy.

I really like this name. I've met 2 Lincoln's.  One who is in his 30's and one who just turned 2.

I don't think of it as being especially trendy, given that it was used in the 1960s in The Mod Squad.
