Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Where did my sweet boy go?

On Sunday my son turned 4 months. He used to be so happy and ate every 3 hours except he sttn, went to sleep good for bed and naps. All of a sudden he is crabby a lot he screams before bed and naps, he wants to eat all the time. This is different from other growth spurts, he doesn't have a fever and no teeth. Should I start to give baby oatmeal? Any info would be helpful.TIA

  • If it is hunger, oatmeal wouldn't do a thing. Breastmilk/formula are far more nutrient dense than cereal. I would not start cereal. Also, just because you don't see teeth doesn't mean it's not teething. Babies can fuss for weeks prior to a tooth breaking

  • Like PP said it sounds like you are in a wonder week and 4 month sleep regression. It's completely normal. We went 3 weeks of getting up every 1 to 2 hours. C will be 20 weeks on Friday and things seem to be calming down. We tried cereal one night and it
  • We had a rough time at 4 months too. He started having teething pain, even though we couldn't see any teeth yet. He also started being fussy for other reasons besides hungry and tired, like being bored or wanting a toy or object. And their usual cues c
