I was laid off from my job when I was 5 months pregnant. I was upset, but decided that was a good sign - I can spend some time with my dd. I gave myself 5 month to just chill and decided to start job search in December, possibly start to work in January. It is the end of March and my job search going to a dead end. I had only one face to face interview and couple of phone interviews that went pretty bad. I am honest and telling everybody who calls (mostly recruiters) that I was laid off and then took maternity leave. Apparently this does not sound good for the employers

I don't know what to do - I feel very frustrated and unmotivated after 4 month of job search and no results. Just wanted to vent here. May be you have some good advise on how to improve the outcome of a job hunting?
