Hot weather and baby shoes

Hot weather and baby shoes

I live in the desert so obviously it gets really hot here. I don't like having Ashley barefoot when we go out but when it's hot I don't want her in socks and the sandals I buy don't stay on. What are you guys putting on your babies feet? Have you found a cute pair on sandals that stay on?

Re: Hot weather and baby shoes

  • I honestly see no point in baby shoes before they can even walk. I put socks on her or if it's hot out she goes barefoot. I doubt she would keep shoes on anyway.

  • I got some sandals for Brant that velcro. I like to bring his jump jump outside so I put those on him while he jumps so he doesnt ruin socks.

  • robees seem to be the only things that stay on DD2's feet. With DD1 though we just wet barefoot. She didn't walk so it wasn't really an issue of her feet getting dirty.

  • Hot in FL - while not hot today but normally - he will go barefoot until he is walking and then robeez or similar. Not with socks.  He only wears socks if it is cold (like 60's or below).

  • I live in the desert as well so I agree about it getting too hot for socks unless it's night. I just let her go barefoot. I'm afraid of getting her shoes too early since I have read the wrong ones can hurt the development their feet. Then again I worry ab

  • I hardly ever put shoes on her, mostly just socks. But with it getting warmer probably no shoes. I do have some sandals but I think they may be too big.

  • I live in a tropical climate and DD2 mostly goes barefoot.  I do have a pair of See Kai Run shoes that I put on her occasionally, but really that's just for show.
