xp: cutting out formula

Since about 10 months old lo has been on formula, she's now 11 1/2 months.( she had a cold and couldn't drink and my milk dried up).  I Have tried 3 different brands but she keeps throwing them up.  It only happens with the last bottle of the day but it is projectile vomit! On the floors on the walls, on her and me! We let the milk sit for about 10 minutes to let air bubbles out, we don't shake it to hard but no matter what about once a week up it comes! It's no fun for her  or me so I think I want to cut it out completely.  Her dr apt isn't for another month.  What do people think, should we keep going for a month because about 75% of the bottles stay down or give it up now.

Also Would you cut out the bottles completely or add milk and keep, going?  She drinks milk really good from her sippy cup.

Re: xp: cutting out formula

  • Have you tried the sensitive formula ( we use similac sensitive) or even tried putting the formula in her sippy cup?

  • We used Similac Alimentum with our first LO after I was done breastfeeding.  We also only used the ready-to-feed bottles because she refused the powder version.

  • Best way to go is to call your pediatrician but she is so close to being a year old that I can see why you would want to simply move her to regular cow's milk. My SIL did that when her son was a week short of eleven months with her pediatrician's consent
