DS is 16 months and sleeps from 8pm to 6:30am, plus a 2 hour nap at DC. He's generally a happy baby and I've tried moving his bedtime earlier, but he just screams if he's not ready to go down and then wakes up earlier.
How much sleep does your LO get and how old are they? Should I try to move his bedtime up or just leave it be since he's happy?
Re: bedtimes & sleeping
DD is a week shy of 13 months. She sleeps roughly 8-7 with usually one nap during the week at daycare and two on weekends. (Naps are usually around 1.5 hours, but the second weekend nap is shorter. I figure she will drop it before too long.)

Our only rule is that we won't get him out of bed (morning or after nap) if he is fussing. To us, that says he isn't fully rested yet. We'll wait for him to settle down, sometim
DS goes down at 7 and is up at 6:15. He naps for 2 hours at DC and is 13 months old.
My eldest was a 12 hour sleeper, but that shifted based on when she went to bed. Bed at ten = waking at ten.
I think all kids are different
My 18 month old sleeps from 7pm-7am with a 1.5-2 hour nap during the day.
My almost 3 year old sleeps from 8pm-7am. Naps are hit or miss, but she at least has quiet time in her room for an hour in the middle of the day.

If your DS is happy I wouldn't mess with bedtime. My DD is a mess when it comes to sleep. I really don't understand how she can be such a happy baby with the little amount of sleep that she gets.
She usually goes down between
I envy the early bedtime households too - although I do like having some time with the kids at night. Our 3 1/2 yr olds typically go to bed around 8:30 - although they've been pushing it lately and sleep until 6:30/7. They nap for an hour i

DS is 14 months old. Before the time change, he usually went to bed around 7 and woke up at 6, sometimes earlier. Now, he's been going to bed between 7:30 and 8 and waking up around 7. He only sleeps about 45 minutes when he's at dayc
DD 1 is 4 and sleeps 7:30-6:30 (generally) with no naps.
DD 2 is almost 14 months and sleeps 7:30-6pm with usually 2 (1-2 hour naps) per/day.
He has *always* gone down around 8:30. I haven't tried to mess with it.
If we had to get him up at a specific early time, that may make a difference. But he has always been able to sleep until whenever, which is usually (also) 8:30 these days.</p
If your son is happy then he is getting the appropriate amount of sleep his body needs and his schedule is working for him. Is there a reason you are trying to push his bedtime sooner?
