Bumgenius frustration

I have about 8 bumgenius Velcro diapers.  I am really good about putting the laundry tabs down but it seems that one or 2 always comes undone in the wash.  I know this is a common issue.  However for some reason they always stick to the SAME diaper.  Well the loop portion that goes across the belly Is very very fuzzy looking now and this diaper does not stay very secure now.  I believe this diaper is a 3.0.  I personally have had this diaper 1 month and it went from looking brand new to total crap in less than 3 weeks   Is it crazy difficult to replace this strip?  I am very much a beginner in sewing and would hate to destroy this diaper.  Also is there anything I can do in the wash to help save these diapers?  We only use Velcro at night because in the middle of the night we are just not coordinated enough for snaps lol.  Thanks ladies!!!

You could try turning it inside out when you wash it.  My Velcro is basically destroyed on mine.  I'm considering switching to snaps.

I have this issue with our Thirsties and Filp velcro covers. No matter how securely I press the velcro onto the laundry tabs, they always come undone. Very annoying. I might try the laundry bag trick pp sugested.
