I went to an appt at my hospital's Breast Center today. I've been getting recurrent clogged ducts and milk blebs, and my LC suggested me to go see a specialist. They fit me in to see the nurse at a moment's notice, and the nurse said I could bring M with me (otherwise DH would have to take time off from work).
It turns out the nurse can't really help me, so she asked another LC to come. In the meantime, the nurse was entertaining M while I talked to the LC. The nurse is having MAJOR baby fever - her son/DIL are expecting. I didn't mind that, as the nurse was keeping M busy, and M was laughing and giggling the whole time.
As my visit was drawing to a close, all of a sudden, I saw the nurse taking M out of his carseat and picking him up. I was simply stunned and speechless! She never asked for my permission - she just had to hold him! TBH, I didn't really mind, cuz M was having such a good time, but gee lady, shouldn't you have asked me first if it was okay to hold him?
And as I was changing back to my regular clothes, the nurse actually took M out of my room and paraded him in front of the other staff.
Anyway, I wasn't mad or upset; but I was truly shocked by her actions!

I would have been a bit shocked too. I asked a nurse at my pedi to hold G once because I really had to pee and I didn't bring a stroller that time. She did walk around and show him to the other staff, but I expected that. The only thing I can think is
