NBR Denver Ladies

I am hoping you ladies can give up some knowledge! We may have an opportunity to relocate to Denver rather quickly. DH will be working downtown and little to no commute is desired but is negotiable for quality of living and costs. I am clueless when it comes to living expenses here and have only visited. Any suggestions on safe and affordable areas where would could find a rental house but still be reasonably close to DT? Condos and apartments are preferably out, we like our privacy and want a yard. Suggestions on trusted realtors are appreciated if you know any!

  • DT? Like the Denver Tech Center? Safe, pretty close areas would be Parker, Littleton, Englewood, Lone Tree. I live in Castle Rock which is a little further south but beautiful and my hubby commutes to the tech center for work. Only takes 20 to 25 mins.

  • I guess I should not abbreviate when I am talking about an unfamiliar area huh? I meant downtown. Are those areas close? I'm going to search CL listings for homes.

  • Haha I could've guessed downtown too. What is a high cost of living in your opinion? The safest places near downtown are going to be expensive for sure. And the surrounding suburbs can be great or poor just depending on where you're at.

  • Not from there so don't know about housing. However, if you decide you'd like a doula, my friend is a doula there and is amazing. She has been an incredible support to me, and I live in MO!

So, check her out on FB an her website. Divine Doula

  • Cherry creek is nice but may be too pricy. Highlands area is also near downtown and a decent neighborhood. Highlands Ranch/Lone tree is nice but its a good 30ish minute commute to downtown. Good luck! We love living here!

  • My husband and I relocated to Denver back in 2009 and just love it! We live in southeast aurora which is a way from downtown. I agree with another lady who said that living close to downtown can be hit or miss. It's kind of that way all over the city. The

  • I live about an hour north of Denver so don't' have any real suggestions... but I saw on FB someone posted the judgemental Denver map that gave stereotypes of Denver neighborhoods. From friends and coworkers I have heard it is fairly accurate... might jus
